A moment of revelation happened while I was at work today... I was starving and decided that in addition to 4 twizzlers, and 2 caramels I should have a large seedless cucumber. I broke the cucumber in half, washed it and dove in... Everyone looked at me like I was a freak, questioning if I pregnant yet again... (I’m not).
Why is it that I can eat an endless amount of candy, chips, espresso beans, and frozen coffees without question; yet when I embrace something healthy it is likened to the irrational cravings of a pregnant woman.
Revelation #2... it is perfectly acceptable to walk into a meeting chewing gum or with a small bag of candy. But could you do the same with a small bag or carrots or celery sticks without turning heads. Maybe I am a lil extreme and the world is not ready to embrace munching on a cucumber whole like an apple, but it is wonderful. Needless to say I have compiled a list of healthy snacks... some of which I hope are accepted in the workplace
